... but in order to book the gig, your rep book has to rep you. I want to help you curate your book and your brand. So what does that look like?
The first step is our meet and greet. I have a knack for reading people that has been refined over the years as a part of my job. As a director, I cast for shows. In PR, I helped people establish their personal brands; this is a little of both. Our first session helps me get to know you and your voice, and allows me to get a good idea of your strengths as a performer and see what makes you stand out. This is our jumping off point as we assess what you want out of your book, and start to curate.
Once we've established what you need, we start the building process. We will spend each session building categorically, from Golden Age to Contemporary and the nuances in between. Each session we will focus on one genre, and:
- choose songs that fit your voice and your brand
- select your cuts
- workshop for acting & vocal technique
- explore the beats and levels of each piece
- prepare your sheet music with cuts
Categories include up-tempo and ballads from:
- Golden Age
- Contemporary pre 2000
- Contemporary post 2000
- Pop/Rock or Folk/Indie
- Sondheim
- Disney
- Specialty/Nuance
Depending on your needs, Step 2 can last 3 - 8 weeks. You decide what you want, and we design your book.
Once your book is assembled, we put it into action. We review each audition cut and perfect the delivery. Step 3 means making sure the "you" shines through, and it also means selecting your "go-to" piece(s).
